Most of the lesser known stuff i haven't cared for, but a few decent games usually pop up.

Thanks for going to all the effort of keeping an eye out for freebies.

  • Thanks OP. I'm getting good at hitting that Reminder link up there ^^^^

  • Looks like a game set inside some alien reproductive tract, guessing that's the effect they are going for?

    • +6

So you've been inside an alien's reproductive tract before?

      • +10

Only that one time, at band camp.

      • Aliens love Gravy on their roast dinner.

This isn’t the Inner Space game I want.
I would play the shit out of an android version of this:

How do I give you more than one upvote.

Played too many hours of this a long time ago

      • I want to play it again, but I don't game on a PC. And I don't want to pay $25 USD for a nearly 25 year old game. You're having a laugh SDI.

I've been playing this all week using Windows 3.1 on DOSBox! Doesn't quite live up to the nostalgic memories, but definitely worth another play-through.

@XyzzE: I'd also like to replay Settlers 2.

I already spend way to much time on OpenTTDX.

Maybe I'm just old, but games used to be better. Peaked in the early 2000s.

    Also available for Mac OS

    • Thanks for pointing that out. Just a quick explanation though.
[PC] means Personal Computer (as opposed to PS4 or XB1) and is not synonymous with Windows. It can include Windows, MAC OS, and Linux but of course that depends on the game posted, what launcher it runs in, and where the key comes from (for example, the Sim City 4 Deluxe key from Fanatical only states Mac OS because of where they get their keys from but of course it does run on Windows given it is activated on Steam and Steam has both versions available).

      • +1

I honestly just wanted to say that is also available for the Mac, as not many games are.
However that does spark a question.. if “PC” covers all Win/Mac/Linux, then should we title a PS4 or XBOX game as just “CONSOLE”? If the answer to that is no, then does it not contradict the “PC” title?

Edit: so a Windows ONLY based application/game could be titled as “WinPC”. And if it is compatible with more than one OS, then “WinPC / MacOS”.
Considering that console games are labeled as “PS4 / XB1” and not just “Console”

        • +1

One could do as you suggested but the PS4 and XB1 are established.
Historically PC is for Personal Computer.
The difference to your example is that PS4 games cannot be played on XB1 and vice versa. However, with emulators one could play a Windows game on Mac if one really wanted to. Plus services like Steam offer all from one source. If there was a Steam for PS4 and XB1 it would be more comparable but for obvious reasons that will never happen.
Also, pragmatically, the character limit for the title is not sufficient as is so making it longer is not useful especially if one puts several items in one post.
Also, I did not want to offend you (and I hope I haven't) - I just wanted to let you know that if a post is for [PC] it is worth checking it out if you have an Apple PC as it includes Mac OS.
I wish you a pleasant evening and a wonderful weekend. Going to bed soon as the day was just exhausting.

          • @Lysander: You make a fair point on Windows emulators for Mac. It is something I’ve never tried, so it didn’t even cross my mind.

No, you did not offend me, and you weren’t offensive in any way. :)

      • Apple spent a good load of cash advertising to us that PC and Mac were different platforms. Remember these ads? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eEG5LVXdKo

Although at 2:20 they do turn the whole thing on its head and all of a sudden Mac is a PC.

  • This game looks terrible on my PC. It has like a Megadrive transparency dither. I can't get the craft up to speed. I really don't know what to make of it…
