Best Online Pet Chemist (I Have a Vet Prescription)

Just wondering whether anyone has any experience ordering vet medicine online. I’ve always got my medicines directly from the vet, but want to save some $$. There are a bunch of different websites, so I’m referring to OzBargains’ considerable experience.

Delivery is to Sydney and the medication is common

Any companies which are great? Any to avoid?

I can recommend The Animal Pharmacy. We had a cat with kidney issues, and purchased from them for a number of years. Never had any problems with delivery, and it was very quick generally. Just ensure you grab a repeat prescription from the vet if it is ongoing.

You basically send the script off to the animal pharmacy, and you can then order the medicine from them. If a repeat medicine you can do it the number of times specified on the script before you need to send a new one.

  • Another vote for The Animal Pharmacy. Have used them for several years for dog's heart condition and cat's thyroid dramas. Great customer service. Always quick to respond. Definitely try to get the repeat prescription from the vet if it's an ongoing issue. Cost was less than half what the vet was charging.

  • Some items you can get in any regular pharmacy depending on the item. My dogs on gabapentin and tramadol and I fill his prescriptions with mine. My other dogs on Phenergan (,for allergies) same thing. A lot of items aren't available so you'd have to check

    • Thanks, I’m not able to grab these from a regular chemist. It’s a heart medicine which isn’t used in humans, and a fluid led which is, but I need liquids as it’s for a ferret on tiny doses.
