Duped by a 16 year old at KFC drive-through

Lol got duped by a 16 year teen at KFC. Ordered 5 original recipe at drive thru. After paying they said they only had 3 left and offered 3 chicken tenders instead of the 2 original recipe chicken pieces I paid for.

Thinking 3 is better than 2 i agreed. After opening our KFC dinner box at home, I realised a tender has like a third the amount of chicken as original chicken. Hence, I got fooled into getting less than I paid for. Aint gonna happen next time, I will sharpen my KFC chicken negotiating skills for next time.

  • probably his manager telling his worker what to offer you instead.

  • I think you came out on top. I find that with the original recipe, it is just bone and a little bit of chicken. Way prefer getting a tender.

  • ‘#metoo (but in Mecca’s)..

Used to be a shift manager at KFC for like 7 years. It’s just the same price equivalent of 2 pieces of chicken. I think the price has changed but they used to be $5.95 for either 2OR or 3 tenders so that’s what we’d typically offer. But because it’s an inconvenience I’d offer more since I’d rather them being happier driving off. Can nearly guarantee if you tried to negotiate they would of chucked in an extra few.

Bugger, I will make sure to do this next time.

I did complain to KFC on facebook and the store will get back to me in a few days. Hoping for a couple chicken coupons hahaha

Depends on the store sometimes. If you have a manager that’s been there a while and has no will to live they’ll like to counter argue saying they’ll give you a refund but if you threaten to write a bad review through the receipt and contact head office that will get them to give you what you want.

3 tenders beat 2 original recepies

  • Like the time i ordered a double quarter pounder and got home to find a regular quarter pounder. In the feels y0

    • Or when you order those nuggets and you ask for sweet n sour sauce, you confirm that you ordered the sweet I sour sauce, you pay and check again, then you get home and by golly you have no sweet n sour sauce in your maccas bag. :((((

  • Actually sounds like an ok deal to me. Not going to eat the bones anyway.

  • KFC have been cheating recently - using strips of breast meat and passing them off as tenders, here's a tip KFC, a tenderloin is called that because its TENDER! more so than a breast piece. stop ripping us off, even if some websites say a tender can come from any part of the breast, its not true.

Considering 10 Tenders for $10 is currently available in the app currently you definitely got ripped off.

Here's the thing though, there are tenders and there are TENDERS. Tenders vary greatly between KFC stores. Some are enormous and crunchy looking and some are small, frugally coated and barely larger than a nugget. You need to know which stores have the good ones and boycott the stores that don't.

A good tender is MUCH better than a wing, but no replacement for a breast piece. Negotiate hard if they are trying to swap you out because in most cases you'll lose.

  • so finally a 16 year old helped to make u stay fit by reducing the meat from fast foods. so shouldn't we all say thanks to the kid with golden heart.

    • Hell no

  • Wait it's a thread involving a motor vehicle plus grievance, but there's no MS Paint diagram, Google maps link to the area involved, or question on whether you should challenge KFC in court?

    • Objection your honour, 3 tender chickens is not equivalent value to 2 pieces of original chicken.

      • Equivalent to a kombucha?

        • Kombucha is free courtesy of work ;)

  • OP you are slow

Tender is from chicken breast? $10 a kg. Chicken pieces from a chicken ? $4 A KG.

  • How do you know he was 16? The name badge doesn't have their age pr DOB on it.

    • Regardless of age paid as a 1-6 yo lolz

    • Doesnt mean they arent problems ;)

  • KFC rookie mistake, any man/woman worth his/her KFC salt would have known to reject such a petty offer and assert that he/she wait for a new batch of OR to be cooked for them.

    Lrn2KFC please.

  • Mate, sorry you had to go through that!

  • It’s a bit like thinking you have a whopper in your pants, when it’s really only a quarter pounder

  • Duped by a manager. 16yr old doesn't care long as they get paid.

  • I actually ask for a trade off when they run out late at night but I get a fair deal. I usually trade for wicked wings and make nice and they sometimes add some extra since they just want to get rid of stuff. But I think the staff just had to do what they had to do to keep customer's happy even though you thought you got duped.

  • my mate today ordered 12 wicked wings and got… 11 drumettes and 1 wing.
To me this is BLASPHEMY! Aren't they called wicked WINGS for a reason?? ie the wing flats/wingettes. Or, at least try to keep to a 50/50 ratio if the reasoning is that they are all part of the whole wing section?
Anyway, his ordeal made me fume haha.
