Leather Guard is more of a protectant than conditioner. You want Leather Love for cleaning/conditioning. They work in tandem and both are currently on special at SCA.

    • Found another one and that works out to be cheaper for conditioning. It is Oakwood from bunnings.

I know a lot of people use Oakwoods and they say it's safe for automotive use (which it technically is but more so older 1970 type leather) but in the long run it just kills the protective layer on the new style leather.

      • Don't need/want any of those ingredients on (most) modern car leather - which is clear coated with plastic/resin/vinyl/pu. Read somewhere a little while ago that some luxury car manufacturers recommend pure wool wash/equivalent for cleaning. Many owners suggest 303 Aero as a protectant after cleaning. Any of the better name car brands (Bowdens, Meguiars, Autoglym etc) will do the job for more $$$.

Avoid any cream type product on perforated leather seats. I found out the hard way, spending hours picking the white residue out of thousands of holes.

The bowdens leather products are simple to use and do a great job

  • Any good for my leather couch/sofa in lounge?
