Want to learn coding / Wordpress or some similar work?

Hi

I am looking to learn coding / wordpress. Being a rookie and not having much background on it, I need some suggestions from the members. what is better to learn. It is my interest + looking to earn more. Would like to know how much time it can take to learn online? What can i earn in future with that learning? is wordpress better to start with and then coding or are they not related at all? If coding then which language should i go with. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

    For coding:

    https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/intro-programming/

Watch the videos, practice the examples.

Time taken depends on aptitude. 50 to 200 hours (one to five weeks full time) is a good baseline.

For PHP (wordpress), youtube has a decent looking but dry series:

You might want to do the MIT 6.0001 course before attempting that PHP tutorial

Well here's a few websites that might help you get started in coding.

There are other websites which you have to pay for but I am sure one of the sites above will be more than enough at no cost.
    I hope this helps.

An hour a day, every day will get you there. Use all the resources listed above. Consistency is the key. Enjoy the consistency and find pleasure in knowing your one hour everyday.

So when are you going to invest an hour into it today?

Sounds like you don’t yet know what you don’t know!
Make yourself a website, spend time adding features and functions and you will quickly find out the parameters of what is involved, and discover the types of things that might interest you.

So you know HTML,CSS,JS and PHP and you want to know how to make a wordpress template out of it?

It's obvious from the question that he's never written a line of code in his life.

Anyway, there are plenty of resources already posted, so I won't suggest any more.

The key is to find out whether you like to code or not.

If you don't enjoy it it'll just be a slog forever.

If you do enjoy it you'll learn naturally.
