    Its $159 here

    • Seems to be different models..

    • That's the older model…. (still a good buy but for an extra $20 this is a steal)

  • Bought one for Christmas. It's good but kind of a waste of water and bags. I've mostly been using it for eggs and try and reuse the water if I'm making the same meal.

    • You can water your plants or your neighbors plants with used water.

SV is super useful for meats that require medium rare prep, e.g. game meat.

    • waste of water?

bags? you can buy reusable bags

I use mine for long cooks, 24-72 hr cooks

Lid on, no water loss and then the water is tipped into garden

How is this better than the inkbird or any others?

    • +1

Certainly not the app, you can't even specify a start time

    • +3

Looking at the Inkbird one on eBay, it has a wifi app which will allow me to 'enjoy happy time with family and friends' so looks like a pretty obvious win there.

  • +1

Having the older version of this and the current Inkbird, I'd get the Inkbird again every day of the week. These guys can't even make a decent app, despite the price of the device, and having "re-done" the app a few months ago.

    • oh whats this? Inkbird???

I'm looking at it now, looks decent and price is very good as well.

Apart from the App, why chose inkbird on anova?

I am after a second unit

      • Well, it's a lot cheaper, and they frequently have offers here where they give bonus stuff. Also, the display is a LOT more useful when comparing my two, the Inkbird actually displays the information you need.

  • +1

don't forget 8% cash back from shopback.

  • I have the older version and have had some fantastic steaks as a result. I can’t be bothered with the eggs - seems to take way too long.

I agree on the app - seems useless so I never use it.

I converted a small cooler to use this. I cut a hole in the lid and it keeps the water temps stable.

  • Still shows as $329 on Amazon for me

    • Same. Looks like it has expired?

    Hesitated and money saved.
