Is LaptopBatteryDirect.com.au Trustworthy?

Was thinking of purchasing a replacement battery for my laptop on LaptopBatteryDirect.

Has anyone purchased a replacement battery from them before? How did it go? And do they provide the tools required for replacing the battery?

Or if anyone has any recommendations on battery replacement services/stores in the Melbourne CBD area, do let me know too!

Thanks!

Cannot comment on Laptop Battery Direct…

but I replaced the battery on my wife's laptop last year (HP Elitebook).
Bought the battery from Better Batt - http://www.betterbatt.com.au/

I searched Whirlpool and OCAU and settled on them - Very happy.
    Much cheaper than Batteryworld.

I saved more than enough to buy myself the correct screw heads (Torx).

    • They don't have my laptop's battery model available.

I get all mine on eBay, if they don't work or don't fit, you can return them. Worst case if it doesn't turn up you get your money back.

What laptop is it if you don't mind me asking?

    • Dell XPS 13 9360

  • Just search for it on ebay. The only tool you may need is a Philips screwdriver.

  • Thread necro, but useful info.

Beware, you probably won't get anything that will last for a long time.

I did use this place to get a replacement battery for my HP omen 17. Unfortunately the battery only lasted just over a year before it swelled up and made the laptop bulge dangerously. And unluckily enough this happened 2 weeks after my 1 year warranty ended. Not the greatest for a $100+ battery.

The customer service unashamedly linked me to the same battery to straight up buy another one haha. They didn't even question why it broke or apologise.

Pretty sure they've rigged the reviews appearing on the actual website, because why wouldn't you if it's your own website.

  • I bought a battery 7 months ago, purportedly with a 12 month warranty. It is now at 25% and I emailed them. This is their response.

    "Dear customer,
I just confirmed that the battery is still covered by warranty.
But it has been used for nearly 7 months. So we are afraid if you return and have it repaired, it can't last long enough to meet your expectation.
Do you agree to place a new order of it and we refund half the price to you?

How about this solution or please advise me what's your idea?
    Best regards,
    Tiffany"

They charge $75 incl delivery. half of that??? Anyway, I have better things to do. I bought another with 5 year warranty from ebay seller for $45. I might yet throw it a Consumer affairs. Seems though I'd have been better reading the above reviews.
