Can a Telstra Locked Phone Be Used with Boost Mobile?

Hi Oz,

This is not a new question on internet. I found some answers. But they are either outdated or do not agree well (some yes, some no).
Then I need the knowledge of our forum. Recently, do you know any cases that combines successfully a Telstra locked phone and Boost network?

    Yes. You can use a Boost sim in a Telstra locked phone. I have one sitting next to me.

    As far as I am aware as long as the sim and phone are on the same network it will work. I've used so many devices where the telco has said that it won't work, when it fact it does.

    I've got a Telstra locked phone (Essential Smart 2). It works with Boost SIM, but won't work with other Telstra wholesale SIMs (e.g. Aldi Mobile).

        It's actually one of my kids' phone. It's already an upgrade as we initially intended to give her a feature phone.

    I have a Telstra locked oppo ax5 phone using a Boost sim and have been using like this for approx 3 months. I have now recieved a NETWORK LOCK on my phone with the message YOur phone is carrier customised . It has been prohibited from using sims from other carries. Anyone to help with this?

      Is there also a message to update the OS ?

      I had same problem this morning and then I updated the OS (2.2GB btw) and it worked fine.

      I bought a Telstra ZTE Blade A52 locked to Telstra SIM.
      I tried keeping my Boost SIM but it is not working and asking for Unlock code.
      Any work arounds or suggestions?

      Reached to Boost and Telstra they are saying Boost is not officially supported and have to pay $60 to Unlock.

    Thanks I had a feeling so, strange Telstra allows there Boost MVNO but not there Belong MVNO, I guess too have Belong considered as there budget of budget MVNO provider 👍😀

      I also have this issue. Did you manage to get the phone unlocked by Telstra for free boozer? Does anyone happen to know if Telstra officially declares anywhere (in text/on some official website/in some official TCs somewhere) that BOOST SIMs will work in Telstra-locked phones?
