That’s 20% off google play gift cards. Good deal op. Will buy
On the other hand it is frustrating to see more and more vendors not using google play as payment method

rip Netflix billing via Google Play :(

    2000 points is "worth" $10

    • Did you read the title of the post? I don't get your comment.

It was never edited. I would know because i) I wrote the post and ii) there's no edit history.

  • darn, just bought tickets to ahn do for this weekend via ticketmasters last night argh

    • They last 3 years so easy to buy the gift card and wait for the next event.

Checked the advance copy Monday 5pm and was surprised there was no mention of a gift card offer. Glad there is one though. Will try to pick up a Ticketmaster one.

Also, looks like Coles have relaxed some of the T&C's. Now it says "once per gift card type", which implies you can buy a ticketmaster card and a google play card and get 2000 points for each. Am I reading that right?

    • That's what I thought. If you do end up buying both, let us know if you get 4000 points

Tried to buy the Ticketmaster yesterday and they could not scan the card or organise a sale for me. Why have a product On the shelf that doesn’t scan through your check outs? I left empty handed.

    • Weird. I've successfully bought Ticketmaster gift cards from Coles before. Did you have a noob checkout person?

  • Can you use your google play credit with google pay?

    • no

    • +1

No. Google Pay is just a replacement for a physical credit/debit card

  • Just bought one at Coles Wynyard, couldn't see any advertising about it though. 🤞

    • I think we had this conversation before, but Coles Wynyard might not be participating in this offer as it's like a Coles Express in the city or something

      • :(

        • Promotional prices and products may not be available at Coles Express, Coles online, Coles Broken Hill and Wynyard

          • @kerfuffle: :((

The guy at the counter said that his system showed flybuys points, just not how many…

      • Yes and it does not have catalogue items. They call it Coles Express.

    • +2

Actually 'Coles Express' in Term&Conditions, is more referring to the petrol station.
The small/busy/CBD Coles Express stores should be eligible.

There are two Coles Express stores at Brisbane CBD.
I purchased gift cards several times from them, and have received points without any issue.

      • That's what I was hoping! We shall see I suppose.

      • Not when the terms and conditions specifically single out Wynyard. John Kimble will have to report back to us on whether he got the points or not

        • But where were those conditions? I did not see them.

          • +2

@John Kimble: In the catalogue, every week. Your lack of seeing advertising regarding it supports my statement re: specials not applying in Wynyard. Like I said, you'll have to report your findings

          • @John Kimble: Did you get your 2000 points?

      • +2

There are two Coles Express stores at Brisbane CBD.

They're not Coles Express stores - they are Coles Central stores.

        • +1

Maybe like the one in World Square, it's not an Express.

  • Could you use Ticketmaster for theatre complexes?

    • What's a theatre complex? Did you mean movie theatre complex or the State Theatre/Princess Theatre kind?

    • Some venues use Ticketmaster like Lyric Theatre, Capitol Theatre, Belvoir St Theatre, Sydney Opera House.

  • Possibly not in Victoria as I don't see it in my local Coles

    • Kew has $50 and $100 cards. Collingwood has $100 cards.

      • +1

I think he meant the promotional material like the one in the photo

        • +1

Yeap thats what I meant :-)
Anyhow I did buy a $50 and scanned my Flybuy. Let's see if it add that 2000 points. Needed to top up my Play account for some other subscription anyhow

          • @bs-a: Did you get the points?

            • +2

@kerfuffle: Yes. Took a couple of days but it did pop up in the system.

  • +2

Nothing written on the Card stands at my local Coles (NSW)
But did receive the 2000 points within a day.

    Thanks for the post kerfuffle.

It's like they don't want people to know about it.
