David Jones Order Confirmed but Not Honoured (As Purchased via "Testing" Website)

Hi
I placed an order through (what I thought) was the DJs website last week. Followed it up this week to be told that I bought it through their testing website and it won’t be honoured.

I’ve received multiple emails from them confirming the order and more saying the items will be shipped separately. The items are still in stock today on the website, but at different prices. One of the items was refunded. I’m worried about my card details if this isn’t even their genuine website and does anyone else find it strange that I could innocently access it? I’m pretty sure all I did was enter DJs into my search bar of my phone and ended up there.

Anyone have any advice on the situation? I’ve asked that they stick to their price promise and give me the items at the prices I originally purchased them at and was told someone would be in contact in 48 hours, that it’s unlikely and then the chat was closed on me.

How did you get to the testing website?

  • Have you rung and confirmed the order number?.

This happens all the time @DJs online. I've had many an order confirmed and then subsequently cancelled.

What is new is that you were advised that you accessed their 'test' site - I would request a second opinion from DJs on that.

This sounds dodgy as fk. What testing website are they talking about? If it's been exposed to the public willingly, it's a production website as far as I'm concerned.

    • Absolutely! A testing site accessible from the Internet? WTF?

      • Dev ops will hate this.

  • What's the difference in price between what you bought it for and what it's listed for?

  • What’s the website link?
