Hi all,

For those who got your $500 credit from the deal below, wondering what everyone spent their $500 credit on.

I was thinking either 4k kogan monitor, airpod pro or a robot vacuum cleaner.

    Likely go towards s20.

    • That's what I did. A supposed "AU/NZ" model, which turns out to be an international model for which warranty is rejected by Samsung AU.

i got mine. I was under the impression it was $500 credit onto the credit card so you can use that card to purchase anything anywhere though.

I just seem to have $500 credit on my kogan.com account and not related to my credit card

    • You can probably sell the credit for $450

    • lol

  • So me and the Mrs got it. Can it be combined? S20 for 279 would be sick

    • I don’t think it can be combined.

I'm looking at the moto g8 plus for $449. Don't really need it though so I'm open to other suggestions.

Will be getting a bidet - great investment right now :)

  • Hmm buy a few airpod then flip to transform into cash?

Does anyone have another suggestion to flip? I'm guessing only apple products to flip?

    • probably better off selling your credit for $450

  • I still haven't received my credit :/

Anyone else the same? I got approved Jan 14th

    • Also how did people get notified?

It keeps asking me to sign up to Kogan first also….shouldnt I automatically have that subscription with the credit Card?

Life stuff (bath, chainsaw, slab of beer, Nike shoes)..Kogan has just about everything. Pricing Seems inflated at the moment, but still a good deal.

  • If anyone is keen on selling their $500 voucher I’m keen to buy. PM me :)

i want to sell my $500 kogan credit. does anyone know a safe method for transferring the $500 credit to another person?

obvious method is for me to buy something on behalf of another person. this method is not ideal if they need to return item in the future.

would it be possible to give another person access to my account so they could take it over? ie. they would change my account to their own email, name, address and password. would this be a safe way of doing it? kogan might not allow this and it might cause problems if they become aware of this.

    any other suggestions?

    • Your Kogan account is tied to your credit card. I assume you realise this? Very bad idea to hand it to someone else while it is linked. If you unlink it, you lose Kogan One membership.

Just find an item that is competitively priced and sell it on eBay. That sounds safest to me, and you may make more money. Or find something you actually want - there is a lot of rubbish, but I have seen some competitively priced items too.

      • Pretty sure you can relink kogan CC to another kogan account, which determines the membership. Her suggestion will work.

However, I am not in a hurry to spend it at all as there'll be sales like EOFY, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Boxing Day, etc. before the expiry of the credits.

  • Put it towards buying a new updated Garmin watch (Fenix 6x sapphire).

    Love the watch!

  • After viewing all the crap on the website, have decided that I might be best investing some funds and using the $500 towards a new laptop. Obviously the laptops in the $500 range are all rubbish. Can anyone recommend a laptop from their current range up to around $1500 that represents reasonable value and specs?

    • I am not in a hurry to spend it at all as there'll be sales like EOFY, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Boxing Day, etc. before the expiry of the credits.

      • Good point Neoika. I have just become very dismayed with what's on offer, as I've come across very real examples of price rorting. Ie. A adjustable laptop stand I bought for $50 just before the credit settled,is now selling for $120 and is showing as on sale. Maybe that's in response to the covid work from home phenomena though. You are right though. I will just hold out until the sales.

  • Anyone closed their credit card before spending the full credit?
I have spent half of the credit and do not need anything further from kogan yet. I want to close credit card account, but I fear the store credit may also get cancelled.

    • I don't think they are correlated since you earned it. I have kogan insurance policy canceled three weeks ago and never thought it would result in canceling the incentive credits from it.

  • When does the $500 credit expire? I saw the new offer is only 4 months.

mine says "Credit expires 23 March 2021"
Log into Kogan and check the date under the account credits tab

Wanting to use the credit towards a gaming laptop. Is this for $1500 (after credit) any good?
    Comparative price elsewhere is 2000.
