Relieved or Disappointed When Nothing Comes up on Ozb?

Nowadays i'm more relieved when there is nothing that interests me after the 15th visit for the day on OzB. I always wondered how people feel when jumping on this site. Is it that dopamine hit that you are looking for, or are you genuinely waiting for the latest eneloop deal to pop up?

after the 15th visit for the day on OzB

You mean you aren't repeatedly refreshing throughout the day? I think you need to up your game.

FOMO pretty much sums it up for me and it seems like the case for you as well.

      That's pretty much me, too.

Missing out on the Bunnings Mavic 2 deal got to me, I didn't refresh for a few hours and it had been and gone :/ From that day on, I have to keep refreshing, looking for the deal of the decade that will inevitably be posted when I stop checking OzB for the day.

    • I've been trying to maintain some sort of composure to only visit a few times a day, but that fomo does hit hard sometimes.

  • Always disappointed.

But you know, I have restraint on buying stuff so it isn't a problem. I can imagine some people are more compulsive and find it hard to stop purchasing.

You know the worst thing about being an impulse buyer doing click and collect is when you catch public transport and don’t have a car..

  • I read this thread. Then I re-read it…
Man, I wish I had the time over… lol

  • Fomo from missing out crazy deals like that 10tb amazon price error a while back, or the even crazier mavic bunnings deal. I got the hdd but missed the drone (got the voucher though!)

Don't let OzB dictate what to buy, most of it is rubbish or sold out by the hordes of unemployed that stalk this website. Instead, investigate, use logic and innovate on your own bargains.

I know so much hacks, tips and tricks that net me big bargains that I will take to the grave. OzB is a good place to learn the mentality but don't rely on it.

    • You're welcome.

You know part of me just wants to +1 you because you’re obviously hunting for negs.

      This neg comes with love.

  • 15th visit for the day on OzB

    Those are rookie numbers!
I visit almost every hour because of fear of missing out on a good deal but sometimes life gets in the way and all the GOOD deals that I would have bought always gets missed when I stop checking OzBargain, thus further enabling this unhealthy relationship.

But hey, atleast I am not doing drugs.

I keep a list of stuff I want with priorities.

If something high priority comes up I buy.

If something low priority comes along and it's the cheapest ever I buy.

    I don't impulse buy stuff.

  • Yes.

  • I'm kinda out of things to buy. I always hope something will pop up I haven't thought of, but it's 90% laptops, batteries, headphones, etc.

Got some jerky the other month, that was pleasant. Didn't need it though.
