Hawaii asks USA federal government to ban cruise ship visits

I’m a bit surprised that they have to ask, but ok. A lot of ships are scheduled to pass through and visit Hawaii on the way from the Southern Hemisphere to North America. This is around late April, early May.

While many are not cruising, this is just another example of what is likely to be a wide ranging set of restrictions on international travel.

  • I don't blame them..

if they want to get serious about crippling this virus, then they need to go hard and early to slow its progress.
Its not panic or any of that crap, like the TP issue… Just common sense.

The virus's foothold is strengthening and spreading every day.

have you seen the small little Red dot in the middle of nowhere in the North Pacific Ocean that is Honolulu County, HI, US

No it isn't, WHO says infection rates are slowing.

Of course if you haven't worked out what the news is yet you think a pandemic is happening.

      • It's slowing in Wuhan but not everywhere else. Italy is wrecked, and had 2000 new cases yesterday. The US is a basket case and have only tested like 2000 people.

It's going to get much worse before it gets better.

      • Funnily enough i do know the news, and we are not in China, its also not about if a pandemic is happening or not.

I just feel that the Govt needs to open its eyes. Do more to assist in slowing its spread, what, i dont know.

      • Just an example:

One city with 10,000 cases sees a drop of 50%. That's 5,000 fewer cases.

45 cities sees 100 new cases. That's 4,500 new cases.

The net difference is 500 fewer cases so a conclusion is formed for some.
