    Shit nappies. Babylove much better.

      Aren't all nappies shit nappies?

    • Used them heaps last year, no issues at all. Have they gone downhill since the manufacturing went offshore?

    Free delivery with S&S btw.

And it looks like Prime members get 15% off for S&S for nappies, so $21.25 if you have Prime, or $22.50 otherwise.

  • thank you

  • Also $25 at coles currently

    • I bought them from BigW before the whole supply and demand model failed miserably, and IIRC it wasn't more than 15 bucks at the time.
I wonder if prices are ever going back to normal.
edit: it was on special though.

      • What are you referring to when you talk about the supply and demand model failing?

        • just a jab at how demand has now turned into panic buying which caused supply to not keep up and prices have no incentive to go down because everyone is hoarding.

@HunterBargainHunter: Were they Huggies Ultimates? Or normal Huggies Size 1 - they are usually on special around the $15 mark. The Ultimates are more expensive.

            • @nafe: you sir, know your diapers well ..
I managed to dig up the receipt and stand corrected.

              • @HunterBargainHunter: All good, if they were Ultimates I am sure it would have been plastered all over Ozbargain! I was constantly hunting to see where I could get Ultimates for the cheapest per nappy cost lol :)

  • How many of this small size does the average baby need before they out grow them?

Also, anyone know anything about the reusable nappies that have disposable liners?

    • My newborn used 200 of these nappies before we moved up to the next size when he hit 5kgs at 5 weeks old.

    • If you have a smaller baby, then you'll use more, as they won't outgrow them for a while. So it really depends.

We use Peapods reusables as well, they have a dispoable bamboo liners (you buy a roll of 100 or something like that), and cotton inserts for absorbing wees. They work really well, just tend to be a little bulkier than dispoables. Pregnancy and Baby Expos are good for checking them out. We went with PeaPods because their legs size is also adjustable where some of the others are not.

      • Awesome, going to an expo next week. What price are you paying for peapods (so I will know if it's a good deal). Thanks

Edit. Mixed reviews, seem to suggest they are better from 6months on?

        • My wife sorted it out, but we bought at the Expo, so got an extra few nappies, and a free roll of liners or something like that. Check out the pricing on the websites for various ones (Hippybottomus is another brand), and then note it down for the Expo. I think we ended up saving something like 70-80 bucks.

They aren't cheap when you end up buying 20 or so, but given they will last for several years I think it's worth it. We still do disposables at night (more absorbtion) and when out for the day.
