Currently looking between these two tvs. They are similarly priced and the cheapest that aren't the unknown name brands. I have heard that it's best to get android tv but some brands (especially in the high end) have their own operating systems, and supposedly hisenses is meant to be good. I've also heard that people have problems with Android tv so which is best tcl with Android tv or hisense vidaa?

They both have 3yr warranty and similar specs. Also, android tv can get updates from Google but supposedly hisense don't bother updating older models because they would rather you upgrade
I have the 55 p8m. Very happy with it. Coming from a Sony bravia. however over the weekend the Amazon app stopped working and now you cannot find it in the Android TV app store. Pretty annoyed
Not a fan of Android TV and if all you want is Netflix/Youtube/specific in-built apps then you don't need the functionality. Hisense is definitely a better option than TCL in general. I think you also get 3 years warranty on them but not sure what their customer service is like.
