Chasing best price on a new vehicle

Anyone know of any websites where people post the price they have been able to negotiate on a new vehicle? Negotiating isnt my Forte, but if you have evidence of prices others have negotiated I imagine it would be much easier.

Alternatively is it better to use a website like motorscout and get them to negotiate a better price for you.

  • DM @Spackbace ?

  • What make / model?

Whirlpool has a few threads and spreadsheets especially for Mazda 3 prices.

    • Leaning towards new Toyota Camry either Ascent Sport or SX

Had a quick look at Whirlpool Automotive forums but either not available or I couldnt find it.

      • As rolts above said.

Buying a Toyota in WA (Perth?) then spackbace is your man.

Call Perth Toyota and ask for Brian Barry.

  • I bought my car through Motor Scout and was happy with the price they were able to get. From what I was told they generally aim for 10% off list price but this will obviously depend on the make/model/date.

  • Think close to 10% off the list price. See how close you can get. If the vehicle you want is older, slower moving you might get a bit more. If you want something new and popular ie with a wait list you won’t get much off.

Don’t trust what other say they bought one for. Some people like trolling to make you think you didn’t get a bargain.

Wait till end of month. This whole coronavirus thing is gonna help with your negotiations, dealers are getting desperate.
