Seems to be matching current pricing on Catch. Usual pricing is about $28 a tin.

Very cheap if you get a couple of tins to get over the $39 mark

Update: Looks like these are now on backorder.

  • What does it usually go for? Is it really much better than supermarket product for around $10?

Uppercut is normally $28 if you purchase it from Universal store.
They offer different varieties in terms of wax. whether you're looking for the shiny look or the matte look.
In my opinion, they tend to hold much longer than the gels and wax you purchase from supermarkets.

^This. I find it washes out really well also. No residue or tacky feeling. Worth it IMO.

    • Good question. Have updated post.

  • Great price. I think I bought the last one. Always been using the shiny red lidded one, so keen to see how this goes with holding my thick, slight wavy, European hair.

    • Looks like they're on backorder now. Will update post.

dang, bought one red glossy one, and one of thse green matt ones from catch last week. Pretty good price of around $21 delivered each.
I like this stuff, it holds all day unlike some other products i've tried (american crew, muck) and doesnt seem too brutal on the old follicles

    • was about to ask how it compares to muk, thanks, i'll give this stuff a go (whenever they get it back in stock).

Not as cheap but I buy uppercut from Beard and Blade, $24.99 a tin plus free shipping over $20. Will also give 15% off additional tins so two for $46.23

You can then get 10% off by signing up to their mailing list and using the code "CSU112" which brings it down to $41.61

Shipping has always been super fast and I have never had problems with them.

Thanks for this mate ive just jumped on your suggestion!

  • I used to use this until trying Reuzel. Big recommendation on Red. This stuff can be pretty expensive and I find it to run out quickly, whereas bigger tins for Reuzel is (subjectively) better quality and tends to last a long time.

    • Any thoughts on best place to buy from?

      • The cheapest place. I purchased from both Catch and Oz hair and beauty before. No problems with either (although catch delivery rimes leave much to be desired).

If you buy any of their waxs the smaller variety will do, a little goes a long way, especially for shorter hairstyles. Best bang for your buck with pomades (red and blue) is the larger tin.

  • I normally buy stuff at Priceline when they have 50% sales
I've actually bought 10 different brands to try, and most are always $5-11 50% off

    I'd never pay $20+ for a tub!

  • Anyone compared this to sauvetico pomade? Sauvetico washes out realllll easy but the hold is soso.

  • Does this have a very strong fragrance? I bought some Reuzel before and it was overwhelming.

    • Can’t speak to the matte as I’ve not used it before, but the shiny pomade doesn’t have a particularly strong smell to it. Smells like coconut to me.

The matte one smells like butterscotch pudding, smells delicious
