Suggestions to Get The Hyundai Accent Wheel Caps Replaced

Hi All,

I am looking to replace wheel caps for my Hyundai Accent 2015 car. I checked super cheap auto for generic wheel caps but none fits my Hyundai. Employee at the store told me Hyundai wheel caps are different from other cars and I need to go to Hyundai for replacement. As I know they charge a lot of money for this, I am not ready to get a quote from Hyundai . Can you please suggest the options I have. Where else can I find them and approximately how much should I spend ?

Thanks in advance

Keep the ones you have is best bargain.

Might as well get a quote from Hyundai so you know what they are talking about.

Also get a second opinion on the wheel caps, they might be generic shape and the superderp employee knows not of what he speaks.

Try a wreckers for a spare if you only want one.

Maybe buy a second hand set of alloy wheels - no more caps.

  • per Euphemistic.
While you can buy new or 2nd hand hubcaps from a local wrecking yard + you can get delivery,
perhaps take advantage of the situation to look at a set of alloys, new or 2nd hand.

plus as alloys are lighter etc,
less weight on each corner of the car is good for improved handing and other things.

    • These days most factory alloys are heavier than the steel wheels. They make them quite thick to counteract the kerb jumpers & pothole bashers. You have to go to something "sporty" to save weight.

I've had 5 sets of wheels on the Skoda and the only ones lighter than the original 15kg 16x6.5 steelies was a set of BBS 17x8. All the OEM wheels I fitted just added more and more weight. The worst were some 18x7.5s that came in at 22kg

      • ok wow.. that's crazy, but understand the reason…

  • Second Euphemistic:

    Try a wreckers

    Wreckers
    Or eBay
    Or gumtree

    • I second the Wreckers, however if they are specific to Hyundai, hey will probably have a markup on them.

  • next time you buy tyres, get a wheel and tyre package that way you get nice looking wheels and not worry about caps.

  • No point buying caps that are half the price of an alloy

  • SCA caps + zip ties

  • I wonder what s so special about Hyundai wheel profiles…?

$89 a pop delivered. Get a quote from Hyundai direct and pick the one you want. It's not much of a dilemma.

Alternatively get some alloy wheels if you want them for looks but reality is you're wasting money on a basic Hyundai. No one cares what the wheels look like on it.

  • Mmmm, perhaps you actually mean to say..Dress rims or Wheel Covers, but not wheel or hub caps.
On Hyundai, they are held onto the rim under the wheel nuts, and are unique to Hyundai.

This may make it easier to choose your next move understanding exactly what is what…technically speaking.
