Groupon Only Giving 30 Day Voucher on Travel Cancellation

I have over $1,500 on travel vouchers that I have booked for Victoria over the next 3 weeks, I am from Brisbane and can cancel the flight but being given only 30 days to rebook whilst the Coronavirus is running amok is unbelievable. Yes it is maybe okay to travel within the country but with all attractions, shows, events closed the attitude of Groupon totally sux.

  • Insurance or CC insurance?

  • Unfortunately pandemic not covered by any insurance 😢

  • If your tickets have non-refundable conditions and the flights are available for you to travel on the dates you booked, they're not obligated to offer you any flexibility if you can't or don't want to go.

Make the most of what they're offering - perhaps book for 6 or 12 months down the track.

  • No it’s not the flights I can change those it’s all the Groupon booked accommodation in the city area (for the not on footy) that is the problem, iIf they give a 90day credit at the moment that would be ok

    • Maybe contact the hotels directly? If they could waive it given the circumstances?

  • Great idea though I would still have to get the refund from Groupon. Have decided to to Melbourne and just hang around for 16 days as the flight out is tomorrow. From reading a few forums on OzB it appears that the travel industry is doing everything possible to hold on to their money. Miserable git’s 😢
