Booked Ticket from Gotogate, Want to Prepone My Booking

So, I used gotogate to book the return tickets from India for my family via Singapore Airlines for first week of April. But now because of all the things that are developing around I want to prepone my tickets to last week of March or earliest that's possible. But I tried contacting Gotogate as well as Singapore Airlines via phone but no luck. Tried submitting the inquiry form but already been ages and I haven't heard from any of them. I am really in a dilemma, thus asking for suggestions from the experts of OZBARGAIN.
Thank you.

I can't change your flights for you. I'm fairly sure no one here can.

I'm guessing that only the airline or gotogate can.

Based on the latest news from DFAT urging all travelers to return home ASAP or risk being stranded, I would book a separate flight and just get home.

High likelihood that they will cancel your original flight anyway, after which you should be able to claim a refund or something.

Edit: Worst case scenario that if you don't get a refund - weigh up how much you would have lost in airfares, vs cost of having to extend your stay overseas (accommodation, food, medical costs if you get sick without medicare etc.) until you are able to return.

    • Thank you so much . I will definitely take this for consideration.

Best of luck my friend. Hope you and your family stay safe.

        • Thank you. Was able to get through the queue and talk to a Singapore Airlines representative, the flight has been rescheduled for an earlier date. Thank you once again.

  • What happened what you talked to your nearest adult about your situation?

But I tried contacting Gotogate as well as Singapore Airlines via phone but no luck

Well you are going to have to queue on the phone for hours like everyone else.

Singapore Airlines have been allowing free reschedule for a few days now. A friend who was to travel in April was able to get through to them on phone and reschedule, though his ticket was booked through an agent. Keep trying on phone, you should be able to get through sometime.

    • Thank you mate, you are a legend. I called Singapore Airlines, after staying on hold for around 2 hours, my issue was resolved, they issued me another ticket on earlier date. Thank you once again…

You may have to organise everything to Gotogate. All the travel agents globally are overwhelmed they can only cope with passengers with immediate travel bookings, with Gotogate that means tickets booked to fly within the next 10 days.
They can not deal with any other enquiries, they make this clear on their website which you should have read before posting here.https://www.gotogate.com/rf/corona-virus

They also state that if your booking is after March 31st, the future is unknown and if you want to cancel or amend your booking its under the Gotogate terms that existed when you bought your ticket, which translates to big costs.

Gotogate also advise approaching the airline, somewhere in your flight confirmation information, there will be your Singapore Airlines booking reference number. Find that and see if you can logon to the airline websites manage my booking function. If your booking is tied to a frequent flyer number of Krisflyer or Velocity, you can try logging onto to that frequent flyer account and accessing the booking from there. Its worth a try, you may be able to change the booking online from there.
