VDSL router with mobile (Telstra or Belong) fallback

Working from home is no fun when the NBN quits on you, even for a few minute, a few times a day.
I am on VDSL on an aging modem/router and would like to move to a VDSL router with a SIM slot (or with an available and compatible USB 4G stick) that can switch seamlessly from VDSL to 4G and back
I have both a Telstra and a Belong sim.
Price is not a major issue.

Many thanks for recommandations!

  • Doesn't Telstra offer this as a standard feature in the routers they supply for NBN connections?
    Otherwise: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/525633

    • I am on an iiNet connection, cannot use Telstra for other technical reasons, but yes, I have seen that recent Telstra NBN modem/routers do have built in mobile network fall back abilities.

  • use modem in bridge mode and get a router,
can use an asus rt-86u router, accepts usb dongles as 4g fallback but im sure there are plenty of other routers that do it

    • Thank you, that is an option, but I would prefer an integrated solution.

  • Ordered Vigor2862Lac.
