    This isn't OzAdvertise… Where's the bargain?

    Eggs $6
    Granola $6
    Coffee $15
    Milk $5
    Hot choc $4
    Bread $6

Those are rough retail prices.. and generous prices at that.

    • $8 Delivery :)

  • As above.

  • no Tea Bages

Some businesses are desperately trying to stay afloat at this time.

This is not a bargain, but I am relaxing my negging at this time also and if you can afford a little extra to support your local cafe, shop or whatever it will go a long way.

    • I understand small businesses are trying to stay afloat, but they need to consider how consumers are impacted too.
Many people lost their jobs or got their hours cut back so have less to spend in general.

I commend businesses offering additional bargains at this challenging time, not just spamming things to everyone.

I have seen cafes and restaurants offering 5-50% off to help drum up business and help consumers out.
E.g. Omi Japanese takeout was offering 40% off, and China bar restaurant has been offering 50% off daily.

This is all good, but when you lose 90% of your business in a week or two lowering prices and offering discounts will not help you to stay afloat.

The sad reality is many businesses will go under and whatever approach they take will not be enough.

My point is more to those who may fair better to try to support each other and maybe getting a bargain at this time may not be the most important thing. Paying a bit extra and keeping people in jobs will be better for all in the long run. Not many of us know if we will have jobs tomorrow but in life you can be bad every day but only get rare opportunities to be good so it would be good if people supported the hospitality, tourism or any other affected areas as much as we can.

Just to be clear, I did say this is not a bargain, thus probably does deserve a neg but I am witholding mine.

Funny how the only other person who upvoted this deal signed up today..

  • St Ali were also doing a similar package (at least here in VIC), but similar to this I didn't think it was much of a deal - definitely more for if you're struggling to get out and pick up these items and the convenience makes it worth it to you.
