Which Credit Card to Drop?

I'm looking at refinancing, and my credit cards are making things tricky. I clear them both every month, but of course banks need to look at the full amounts, so I might need to drop one to qualify.

You all probably know these cards, as I got them thanks to someone posting them here :)

I've currently got the Bankwest Zero Platinum MC, which I use for all overseas transactions as they don't charge an extra fee, and has a pretty good exchange rate, plus no annual fee, and also the Citibank Citi Premier VC, which has no annual fee, has rewards, travel insurance (not that it's any good right now), extra insurance etc on items bought etc

So they've both got their uses, but I'm already at the minimum amounts, so can't reduce the limits any more.

I don't really want to drop either of them, but if I do, are there any equivalent or even better cards out there that I could apply for afterwards?

Thanks for any suggestions

the bw zero plat mc is not going anywhere, so you can always cancel and reapply later

kill the wankbest card, get a debit card from Up (no overseas txn fees, no overseas ATM fees, just move your own money in).

Echo everyone else, drop the Bankwest card.

It's easier to find a card that has no overseas transactions than it is for a free rewards card that provides a similar benefit as the Citibank Premier.

There are free debit cards such as Citibank Plus and Macquarie Debit card that offer no overseas transactions.

  • Ok thanks, that's a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. Thanks all for your help.
