See the other thread today on printers.

In the long run, a laser printer would be far better

    Brother laser printer - $77

Spend the extra and you won't have to worry about ink for ages

If you buy any of those listed, won't you also need to buy ink for those pretty soon as well?
I thought they only came with a minimal initial supply.

The cost of ink refills is your decision consideration, not the initial purchase price.

  • Laser or an Ink Tank Inkjet is generally better in the long run if you are going to print any decent amount compared to these cartridge inkjets

    Lost my whole post, sigh.

The Lexmark is better than the Brother, I had the exact same one and it died after 2 years.

    • Mine is still going strong after a few years, and havent changed the starter toner yet lol

Also, half the price of that Lexmark ;)

      • That is great but unfortunately for me the exact opposite.

My old Lexmark went for about 8 years on the original toner, Brother died after 2 year.

I found the Lexmark printing to be slightly clearer than the Brother and the paper curled less after printing too.

Guess the extra $77 will be for the above plus the enclosed paper tray against the pop out feeder of the Brother.

Just ordered the Lexmark today due to work from home arrangements, it better do well!

    • How much do you pay for toner though? I usually get a 2 pack of high yield toner for my Brother HL-L2350DW at $26 each.

  • Inkjets makes you a short term winner but a long term loser. Unless you really need colour. Go laser.

  • whatever you do please get laser. full stop. no buts no bots no bats no bits

and for extra tips, for me, i wont get another fuji.

  • Thanks guys.

Does anyone know if I just buy black ink cartridge for my current printer MG2560, will it work? Or do I also need to buy color one?

Secondly, where can I get the black ink cartridge at lower price?
