Do I need to replace the screen on my iPad 10.5 Pro?

Hey guys,

This may be a dumb question, and the answer is that of course I need to replace the screen, but I wanted to make sure before shelling out almost $400.

I have these weird horizontal lines across my iPad. I've had them for a while. I was able to flex the chassis a bit and they would disappear but its gotten to the point where that doesn't work anymore, and being this is mainly a media consumption device, very annoying.

It may seem obvious I just need to replace the screen but the screen itself appears fine, if I apply pressure the lines totally go away and there are no issues with touch input or any colour problems etc on the screen. Please see - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXfwqRjJfnY

I am wondering if there is any other way to fix this or just have to bite the bullet and replace the screen?

If I do need to replace the screen, is it best to get it done professionally? I have seen the DIY instructions and with my huge hands I would surely screw it up.

This appears to be the place I want to go because they use genuine Apple parts - https://www.ubreakifix.com.au/ipad-pro-10-5-screen-repair.

Any suggestions on what I can do or where I can get it fixed would be appreciated, thanks!

looks like a problem with the digitizer ?

Flux capacitor is on the fritz. Looks like its firmware has the "0" entry on line 27.

    • Not sure what that means in terms of repair? Do you happen to know?

So the digitizer is the layer underneath the Glass screen, it's what has the pixels etc, you could probably take it into apple to see what they say - might be potentially a software issue

          Worth a shot. Cheers mate.
