Jobseeker Allowance. Can Both Partners Lost Jobs Apply or Is It Only for 1 of The Partner?

Hi, a bit confused with this jobseeker allowance, here is the article:

Our situation is we both lost jobs this week, all causal jobs held by us is gone. At the moment, the only source of income for both of us is a small business income which estimated pulling in less than $50 a day or around $300 - $350 a week.

So does that mean we can both apply or is only one partner can apply for this Jobseeker Allowance?

Centrelink is not helping as I can't get the phone line through.

Does anybody have any idea?

    Both can apply. Split the income according to business interest if its joint names its 50/50

      The business is in a partnership, so yes can split 50/50 no problem.

      As our business tax is done yearly due to the small profit, how do I estimate the income? Can I just let Centrelink know our estimated weekly income say is $300 - $350?

    CentreLink website is disaster, I tried to apply it just kept loading and asked me to complete 5 steps, and a hundred of questions. Some are not relevant at all, why don’t they just have one new form for anyone who are affected by Coronavirus and just answer some simple questions.

        No I am not joking, go to website and you will see, the questions AND there are 9 required documents need to be uploaded to complete the claim

          9 documents and 100 questions? its almost as they don't want us to have them……

          can you give me some idea of what documents are needed so I can get ready? the site is on and off

            @Aerith-Waifu: That’s exactly it. And they make it as painful as they can until you get a job. Horrible experience tbh. Feel really bad for all the people about to join it.

    If my partner is not working and i lost my job, will i get 510each if only i apply or my partner needs to apply seperately ?
    11,000K savings test is still ongoing ?
