We have quite a few devices already but thinking another laptop would be good (as a couple of those are iPads), this will be an extra device and might no get a whole lot of usage so looking to spend as little as possible but hopefully not get something cheap and nasty. This has led me to refurbs being the likely best option.
Wishlist is 8gb ram, SSD, midrange processor, 14" and some warranty (even if it's just 30 days) for $300. Those are all reasonably flexible but gives some criteria to compare against.

Thanks, comparing new products is hard enough, chuck in the variable of age and condition and it gets even harder, there are virtually infinite options.
