Never understood why people would go Mars when Snickers is the superior budget choc bar.

    • +3

Just a preference thing. I don't like little bits (like nuts) in things i eat, so i generally go for chocolate that doesn't have things like nuts.

    • +5

I'll tell you why, because Snickers are made in China unlike Mars, Mars excuse is a factory upgrade that's been going on for years.

      • +5

…Isn't Snickers a mars brand? It'd be made at the same place?

        • +2

Snickers has been made in China for a few years now sadly. I believe Twix is made in Egypt, and Mars is still made here.

Nothin' like Chinese peanuts & milk (chocolate) for the Snickers, yum! Haven't had one since they moved manufacturing, sadly.

      • +3

I wouldn't care if snickers was made on Mars by little green martians.

      • Mars Bars, Snickers, Milky Way and M&Ms etc sold in Australia are all made locally by Mars Australia in Victoria.

        • According to the snickers bar I have in front of me… it says "made in China".

        • Snickers are made in China and that hide that statement under the folded section of the packaging.

        • +14

          That requires friends…

          • +5

@jv: Apparently the average number of friends for Australian's is less than one now.

          • +1

@jv: I'm sure you can find an Ozbargainer to be your friend for a 7/11 coffee lol

      • Correction $60

If only the Chinese would eat this rather than bats

      • +2

regardless of how the virus came about the damage came from the fact that they withhold information from the world and there own people and the WHO who is in there back pockets since they donated $20 mil usd to them tedros has done nothing but praised china's handling of the situation and the UN conveniently has the guest chair occupied than none other than china that's why there has been no un resolution to the situation nor co operation but that's ok because business is booming in china they now make over 116 million masks per day and have recently registered 8950 new mask manufacturing companies why warn the world when we can send them into chaos and then make money off it and essentially control the economies

      • nothing wrong with bats.
if only the Chinese would learn to cook things right through….

…would aussie made sugar junk be preferable to you m'lord?

      • +2

yes out of the 2 i would rather put money in a aussies hand

This product is made in Australia by an American headquartered company. Where does China come into any of this?

      • -2

sorry i have only read there snickers bar which is made in china and assumed since same company they would have sacked aussie jobs and moved production to china but i found this https://choice.community/t/snickers-made-in-china/17251 saying its not all made there either way dont give kids junk and dont buy from companies sacking aussies to make a dollar from moving to china

      • .. The bats

        • we should have paid more attention when johnny depp was swatting them away back in the day

Seriously please do not go to a shopping mall to buy chocolates. Stay home. This is not considered an essential activity. More time in places and more interactions with people = more people unwell

Are you saying this deal isn't worth risking Corona?

      • Its not. Buy them when its over

    • Especially one as big as Marion

  • +4

"Fun Size"? My kids call them disappointment size …

    • +1

thats crazy, my girlfriend also says the same thing when shes eating one and looking at me.

  • This will shut the kids up for about ten minutes and then the sugar rush will kick in….

  • I would buy this, but even if it was free it isn't worth the risk of a virus. Are there any online easter egg clearance deals that will do delivery?

  • Use by March 2015….

  • Best Before 18/05/2020. Although, it was a sticker, so couldn't see the actual 'printed date'. Bought 2 bags. Eat till I spew…
