Looking for a 8KG Washing Machine Deals

My current washing machine died - husband sold it for $25 on Facebook marketplace today and I'm desperate for a new one.

I have this machine in my shopping cart, close to actually make the purchase, but I don't want to pay full price if I can get this on a deal(noticed it was $556 last year https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/464089):

But… I've also been eyeing this one on DJ:

budget is $850 max.

I don't know how Electrolux compares - I've had Bosch before and they're great - but was hoping for advice

-Thanks!

  • I generally stick to LG for appliances and they've never let me down.

    Here's an example: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/lg-8kg-front-load-washer-wv5-…

Great reviews, will be solid for years. 2 year warranty and 10 years for motor/compressor etc parts.

    • I have had LGs fore the past 10 years - great machines but prone to rust

    • The opposite for me. LG has been very disappointing.

  • Will someone still deliver it and bring it into your home?

  • Why don't you want Bosch again?

    I recommend this one

Its is bit over your budget now but very good on water ratings only 57ltr.
I bought for $800 last year.
Wait for easter weekend if you can. You can get better deal.

I an waiting for this one too

  • Currently own a Fisher and Paykel top loader WL70T60 now making big banging noise while rinse / spin. Not sure worth repairing. Looking at BOSCH, Fisher & Paykel models. We use 2 or 3 times a week. Any recommendation for a reliable washing machine is appreciated. I am looking for a front loading washing machine 8kg -9kg for under $1000, What is the best time to order is there any deals going now ?

  • I recently bought the Bosch 7.5kg. Had it for 2 weeks so far and it's been great. The 15 minute cycle is fantastic, been using it constantly for light throws and anything that needs a quick wash.
Appliance online has it for $720 delivered and installed at the moment. It was $750 two weeks ago.

    • @Zunoush My LG caused excessive water hammering due to the way it flushes out the soap box with its rapid and repeated on and off system. Have you noticed any banging noises in your pipes from the Bosch? I need to change this LG before it destroys my pipes. I have had the water pressure tested and installed water arrestors to no hope. Looking for a machine that does not destroy homes pipes due to very bad design.

      • Surprisingly no. It does get a little loud on spin cycle but that's probably because I'm too lazy to check if it's balanced haha.

It cleans great but one thing that really annoys me and I wish I checked before I bought it are the cycle programs. It's a 7.5kg washer but to wash clothes, there is only one setting that does 7.5 kilos.. and that's cottons when you put it on 'eco' which takes 3 hours…
So for generally washing, I use cottons standard wash which is 5kg and takes an hour. Mix cycle allows for 4kg.

Definitely will check cycle options next time I buy a machine to make sure they suit my needs. This is the first time I buy a front load. Used to the straight forward settings of a top loader haha.
