Leak from Drain Hose of Washing Machine

I got a LG Front Load Washing Machine (WD12021D6) and its drain hose is broken along the line please see the image.

I am wondering if there is something I can use to seal this broken hose than buying complete new hose?
Any specific product recommendation?

Replace the hose, or cut the hose at the split and use a joiner.

Something like this - comes in different sizes.

    • interesting, but will it fully take that gap off?
or should I use some sort of sealant? Anything you can think of?

      • The clamps should do the trick.

blutac (silicone would be better) and wrapped over with duct tape
it's not under any great pressure
    .

  • If it has split once, it is likely to do it again.

If you do use a joiner cut it back to a straight section and join on a new bit.

  • Keep a look out on the side of the road for old washing machines and take a hose from there.

  • You can get generic ones from ebay for $10 to $20, but would take a few weeks to arrive.

  • Just use duct tape wrap around it and it should last another year or two

Appliance technician here, just replace it with a genuine hose. It will only split again, maybe when you’re not home too. You’ll spend probably more time fussing around with joiners and a Bunnings hose. The Bunnings hose post above will cost you more then a genuine hose, plus the corrugated ribs can get in the way of the clamps. Yes a genuine hose will be a bit more fiddlier to replace but still the better option.

    Avoid Big Warehouse Spares.
Genuine LG part number is 5214FR3188G.

    • Great thanks 👍
I am unable to find a drain hose replacement steps or document/video for my LG Front Load Washing Machine (WD12021D6)

Can you please help me to locate it? Preferably a video steps.

That video will pretty much be spot on. In my opinion I think taking the front panel off is more work IF the washing machine doesn't have a base. If you tip the machine back and the base is open then I would do it through there and through the rear panel. Front panel will probably give you more room but will take longer and more this to disassemble.
