Best prepaid plans currently (on Kogan currently)

Hi peeps.

So I've just run out of my yearly Kogan plan. And in going to buy a new one they have 'sold out'. Don't know how but wondering if there are any great alternatives to them in case this takes a while to come back.

I'm looking at no more than $200 for the year and don't really need more than 8gb data/month

Kogan plan was Medium - 156gb/$205

Was even considering the small at 80gb/$150 but that might be a bit too small.

Any suggestions?

I'm happy with Kogan. No issue…but though if there is an equivalent solid provider out there I might check them out.

Cheers kindly

  • You can try jumping around to catchconnect and kogan again on the $5 sims until a better deal comes around. That's what I'm doing at the moment. I've got a separate one on boost, but I need to have another provider so I can always be contactable via either of two numbers. (different coverage)

  • How about their flex plans?

In stock, it’s basically you get all the data upfront instead of monthly allocations. I’m currently in their medium plan with no problems.

    • Showing as not in stock for me :-( When you try to add it is says SOLD OUT.

Just found one at Optus though. $150/120gb
      Usually $180

Saves $50 for data I won't really use. And $50 is $50 at this point with no job.

      Seem legit?

      • Weird, when I click on the link I posted it still says available and I can add to cart and check out.

        • That is strange. I've even tried on a vpn and different browser.
Ah…I'm an idiot. I was signed in to Kogan on both. And had already purchased one of these for my mother.

Doh. In any case…I think the optus plan is looking like the better fit, for a 25% saving.

If I can't find better than 120GB for $150, or 100gb for less, I might do that.

My bad on the sold out bit.

  • +1

boost $150 gets you 120gb for the year or go with the catch connect 3 month deal with $10 cashback via cashrewards (effectively $4.90).

    • can i buy Boost from Coles for $150 get 120gb. my catch connect plan has expired & I tried to port my number to Kogan, but Kogan didn't port for me because I can't reply them with code to release my number. I called Kogan so many times, no one pick up the phone. Now I need to sacrifie my kogan plan & thinking to go with Boost. Do you know whether Boost requires authorizatin code in order to port my number as I run out of credit to reply them? many thanks

      • they dont ask for a verification so you can port without credit
