            @DoctorArd: 55” is the smallest of the ru8000 series. For 50” I think the entry level model 7000 series is the only option.

      It's overpriced. You could get a s6 at this price when discounted. S6 has the multi level room setting which is very handy if you live in a house with levels.

      I paid around $450 for my s5 almost a year ago.

    How do ebay sales actually work from the seller's side. I've never actually known that… do the sellers agree to particpate or something so they actually have to take the hit of the 15% discount for example in this instance but then just jack the price which is why we see price jacking? Cheers

      Pretty much. They are invited to participate and ask the store to take a 10% hit and eBay will fund the remaining 5%. But what happens is the store will jack the price over that 10% so they are getting money from eBay basically. It's technically not illegal as it's not a sale, but an eBay promotion or something like that. Shady AF and pretty much scams the layperson who hasn't been price watching.

    Price jacking confirmed with DigiDirect. Was look at the Sony A7S ii last night for $2528, but now after the 15% discount it comes to $2,598.00!!!!!! So in fact they are charging an extra $70!!!!!
