I risked season 8, and failed

I have this. It’s ok. The board is unnecessarily dark and hard to read so you need really good lighting. Other than the game of thrones theme, it’s just risk. No real additions or changes.

If you want a real GoT experience, this is it.

      Much more friendship-wrecking than risk.

awesome game though probably hard to get a game happening atm
Worth checking out on tabletop simulator though, especially since it's half price:

+1 for the Game of Thrones Boardgame.

In Risk you will have people who turtle, build up their forces and then try to explode out and take territory to win, backstabbing is not really a feature of the game as once the players settle in their areas they will have to start attacking each other for more land, and usually the one who attacks first and weakens their armies gets attacked by the next guy.

In the Game of Thrones Boardgame, backstabbing is a real thing, much like the Diplomacy Boardgame, when players unveil their moves you will lose friendships when your ally of four turns realizes your attack markers are on his territories and not on the pre-planned enemy.

        MWAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!
