Saw this while browsing a review website and checked it out. Have previously purchased from CDKeys and they seem ok. You will need a US PSplus account though, which also usually have different free monthly games vs the AUS accounts. Single account linked to your “Primary” PS4 will allow all other accounts on that console to share multiplayer benefits, but specifics like online save uploads etc are not shared so look into it before trying for the first time.
Tempting at this price, have not seen a $60 price in AUS in the last few weeks but perhaps wait and see.

  • What's the VPN needed for?

    • Based on feedback below it appears you may not need a VPN. Will remove from title.

      • I thought not.

  • You need to stack up when it hits $45-$49 on the PSN AU Store. If you don't, then you will be stuck in this situation. I got 3 years left haha.

    • Yeah most certainly a good idea! I usually just buy for the year ahead. Exact same problem every year

      • haha need to just buy the next time it hits $45, and then go back to yearly, otherwise losing money!

  • You can generally find PS Plus yearly subs (for US PSN accounts, no VPN required) for between 33-34 euro (AUD$60) on allkeyshop.com all year round. I got mine last week.

(Also a great place to bargain hunt for games in general)

  • The price on cdkeys has been varying around 33-35 USD mark, I got mine for about 56AUD 2 days ago, paid using Paypal. Trust them for a quick delivery.
Also, don't think you need a VPN, just the US PSN account.

Bear in mind that you will get US version of the PS Plus free games. Even though they are mostly the 'same' titles, but they are actually different versions. If you have saved games in AUS regions, they most likely won't work (though some games do have save game converters to address this issue, but most don't). It is generally not a big problem for most people as we tend to move on to new games and don't generally re-play old games a lot.

  • Just confirming. If I have two accounts - one aust and one US - and I get this. Will both accounts have multiplayer access?

    • Yes, any account on your console as long as the US is set as a primary account.

      • Can confirm as I previously used US account for PS Plus but primarily played with my AUS account and got the multiplayer access. Can’t remember when and how I ran into other limits such as playing the free US games with another account. But I’m sure google has data if you check what you want to do.

  • 'US Account Required' - does this mean I have to create a new PSN as well? Cheers!

    • Hey, this will only work if you have a US PlayStation account. It’s fairly simple to make one, perhaps google and see how it’s done. You cannot purchase a code for another region and use it with an Aus account, though you would have to choose if you continue to play online with the US account or AUS one. You will loose the online back ups of save files from your AUS account for instance but not too many other impacts.

      • Thanks Flex, got it working!

        • No worries, dug my old US account out myself for this. Time for some Dirt 2!

  • I bought this and activated on my newly created US account.
Now how can I access to my free games on AU account ? I bought them when I had PS+ subscription on my AU account ? seems like they are not available to play anymore :(

You won’t have access to anything purchased through any other ps store. I have the same issue, as I haven’t used the US account for several years. So all my stacked ps plus titles I collected through AUS store are now locked :(
But on the plus side, I needed a push to clear some storage space as I’m way too lazy to figure out a bigger drive/SSD set up from the 1tb version I have stock.
So lots of storage for new monthly games now!

      • A couple of years ago I upgraded the internal drive to 2TB thinking internal must run faster than external right?
Wrong. That PS broke, got another with 500GB internal and plugged in 2TB external USB (nothing fancy at all) and everything continues to load at the same speed it always has.
So just buy an external 2TB USB powered drive. If it ever breaks just download your shit again.

    • The account is region-specific, you don't get the games from various region stores in the one account. My friend and me, she sticks with the AU account and I have the US account :) If she wants to play any of my games or vice-versa we either game share or come over. You can game share cross-region (presumably as long as the game is available in both regions, but we never encounter a scenario sharing a US game not available in AU region).
