Online Poker on PC with Mates (with Audio)

Looking for an online poker game I could play with my mates while having a beer and a chat (as we can't meet in person obviously!)

Preferably free, but if not that is ok. Needs to have audio. Prefer for PC as there is a mix of Android and Apple users.

Cheers!!!

I played yesterday lunch time with some friends in the Bay Area and New York (there Saturday evening) leveraging just zoom with video in combination with PokerTH desktop app. https://www.pokerth.net

They had played previous week using the ios/android app from http://pokerrrrapp.com - but it had connectivity issues yesterday - so we switched to PokerTH which was free. The other problem with the app is that it also needed some concept of 'gold' in order to host games - whereas PokerTH did not. You get some free gold to start, but it won't last long.

Anyway - as far as remote poker play with mates, the main negative of the whole experience was the lack of shared music being played (which you would normally have in an in-house game). It felt a bit sterile. Whilst we could speak to each other fine, you didn't want one person taking over the whole microphone thing by broadcasting audio.

    <Edit> And I lost too :( 60 USD - which is like 1,000 AUD :)

    • We used the pokerstars.net app this weekend just gone and its club feature; It is far more visually appealing - and has better H.C.I.

We will be using that going forward.

    • Use this for music, it syncs YouTube playback amongst a group of people.

Just so you know, any service that offers Australians playing online poker for real money is an illegal service. That means if you deposit your money in one of these illegal platforms you may not necessarily be able to make a withdrawal on any winnings or to stop losses. Stick with a site that does not require you to pay anything if they're around.

Prominence Poker on Steam is free and you can have private tables with chat. The interface is a bit ott but the price is right.
