You're so excited about some hand-wash you forgot the Price, Vendor and relevant details in the subject.

    • This is the brand etc. I buy to refill ours with but for 1 litre I paid about $4 before. So you would be paying 4 X the usual price plus postage! How is this a bargain¿?

I feel really offended by all these black market prices. Even Millers keeps sending me emails for similar items; today's $7.95 with pic of 5 packs wipes. Turns out price is for each individual pack though, minimum of 5 to pay for and postage added to boot! They should be ashamed. I will NEVER buy from them out of principle.

Think we should have a "Name and Shame" category in OzBargain.

  • it says, Amazon's Choice for "sanitizer"

Thanks, this is a bit softer on the old hands than the Cucumber one.

I just take the lid off with a spoon and refill.

    • +2

same. boggles my mind that on a site like ozbargain that 1L of soap for $20 gets sold out consistently.

  • No Stock

  • This is only for the no touch machines isnt it? Are people really that nuts?

    • +1

People have been taking the lid off and use it AFAIK. Been driving me crazy since I can't refill the machine I bought with other soaps (if you can even find any).

      • +1

But if you take the lid off? what do you do, just pour it on your hands or put it into another dispenser? Are people that desperate when regular soap works extremely well? Its not like you can carry this around? It also seems to imply you need water to use with it? So its not like the kind that you use while you travel ?

        • +2

It's hand wash not sanitiser. I got the no touch machine but never buy these refills. $20 a litre is just spastic.

          • +1

@nfr: Thats what i thought, so why are people going crazy for it? makes no sense. People buying this may not realise it needs to still be used with water aka at home. And they are ruining it for people who have a machine and need this.

            • +2

@lonewolf: I think people get the idea that they need to wash hands so they go nuts on any hand wash they can find esp. with the word "antibacterial".

But any soap/detergent can wash off and kill the virus, so body wash, shampoo, even shaving cream would work. I just buy whatever is cheap and not harsh on hands.

              • +1

@nfr: These are quite nice and gentle on hands actually and we usually buy the 1 litre bottles to refill the little pump bottles, to save money and plastic. Soap bars always on hand too. I was not paying these prices though … and will not!

    • +1

I use the 1 litre refill bottles to top up the little pump container bottles I have at every sink in the house… cheaoer and less plastic. (We use regular soaps too) BUT I was paying about $4 per litre before Coronavirus. No way am I paying these exorbitant black market prices. This is no bargain!

  • Does anyone know where to get the machine>?

    • It's discontinued. These refills were also discontinued in Jan/Feb so not sure if they are old stock or making them again.

      • +1

Probably because Palmolive makes more money from small pump bottles, and more plastic for the environment … Figures!
