Should "Back In Stock" posts belong in the Forum?

Probably an unpopular opinion…seeing everyone lose their minds for TP, tissues and hand sanitisers deals that are back in stock but its at the "normal" price. It's flooding the front page instead of actual bargains

I understand people still can't source those items locally, but it's OzBargain not OzBackInStock or OzRRP.

Same concept with the 7/11 fuel deals where if someone posts a fuel deal but it's a normal price cycle, it gets moved to the forums. However it's ok to be posted as a deal if the 98 fuel is at 95 prices.

Show me the bargains!!!

The real question is whether "back in stock" forum posts about whether "back in stock" deal posts should belong in the forum should belong in the forum?

  • -1

Before COVID-19, a deal was considered something that was cheaper than the usual price.

After COVID-19, that definition could be the same for some people. However, for those who are unlucky, a deal could be something that is in stock and at normal rrp price because if they wanted to get that item on any normal day they would have to pay someone on say gumtree a highly inflated price.

Normally they're even more expensive than you could normally get them for, so the opposite of Ozbargin, and half of them are from Amazon which go out of stock before or just slightly after they're posted.

I’ve no problem with it in the forum. People can then subscribe and get notifications.

If it's on "front page" then the community likes it and your poll is null and void. If it's on "new deals" then oh well, scroll past and move on
