Recommend Me an Air Fryer! Please

I’ve searched a bit here and there aren’t any deals coming up, and people seem to recommend the Aldi or Kmart ones which aren’t often available. What should I go and buy now?

Kmart's airfryer can't be beaten for value. $89 for their largest size one. $69 for the smaller 3.2 litres one.

I've got the Philips XL which I don't think is available anymore. It would get used more than my toaster - I love it, and has been worth every cent. I cook everything from sticky date pudding, to roast potatoes, to a humble cheese toastie in it. Takes only a couple of minutes to heat up and can have roast potatoes cooked from raw in about 20 minutes! My oven takes 10 minutes or more to get to temp let alone the cooking time. It takes a bit of practice and trial and error to get things right, and I find I need to knock off 20-30 degrees from oven temps, even up to 40 degrees if making a pudding!

Mum got the Philips XXL and it's pretty much the same but a bit bigger and comes with the dual layer tray - which would be helpful at times!

My husband has done a few work things where they have all brought in their air fryers to cook veggies to go with roast meat from the supermarket - the quickest to cook were apparently the Philips and then the Kmart ones. Don't bother with the Target or Kogan ones - while the Philips ones were doing two batches, these couldn't even cook one in the same time.

Bought Philips XXL for $220 from Amazon and have been using it non-stop. Go big or go home.

My rationale with buying any electronics is to go with the larger, more reputable brands. If something goes wrong at least I am more likely to receive some sort of compensations…

    • Agree with this. Philips XXL is just fantastic, well worth it.

Myer sometimes reduce accessories heavily so worth checking every so often.

  • I have this one and I love it - https://www.kmart.com.au/product/3-in-1-air-fryer-oven/27548…
I previously had the Philips one but did not use it as much. The Kmart one can be used as a mini oven and a dehydrator as well as a rotisserie. It's easier for cleaning as well.
