Recommendation for Mobile (Temporarily?)

Hi guys, i need some help with recommendations for mobile. Here we go:

I currently own a Huawei P20 Pro, its working fine but the battery is swollen and i am afraid of it exploding?
I also just ordered a OPPO Find X2 Pro, but i do not have it with me as it probably won't be delivered until the virus ends. (The phone is in Malaysia right now and there is no way of shipping it over) unless you guys have any suggestions? I am just afraid of the phone goes missing while shipping.

So here i am, while waiting for the Find X2 Pro, and afraid of my P20 pro exploding, what are your suggestions?

Cheers

Yeah, a swollen battery isn't a good sign. Did you replace the battery, by any chance?

Why can't you ship the phone from Malaysia?

    • I don't know where can i get em. Its expensive?

There might be a chance of the phone going missing and its an expensive one. Insurances covers up to 500$ only.

Have you looked at DHL? It's not cheap, but it will get here pretty quickly. There's still plenty of SIN > PER flights and PER > SYD/MELB flights happening.

        • Well i am in Perth so i guess that makes it easier? But how safe is DHL? like i wouldn't want to take any chances

@melo4510: It's the safest you'll ever get in terms of shipping. It's a door to door service with full tracking and optional insurance.
It's not cheap, as I mentioned - but worth getting a quote.

            Via DHL directly
Through a 3rd party (often cheaper)

There's more than 1 of those 3rd parties around, I just forget their names - Google should help. They offer cheaper rates because they ship so much through DHL they get cheaper shipping than the general public. I've used them successfully, as soon as you book the pickup you're given a DHL tracking number and it's fully handled by DHL from that point on.

  • Get a cheap one from the supermarket or a cheap used one that will meet your basic needs to tide you over.
Friends / relations dont have a spare to lend to you? Most people usually have a drawer full these days :-)

    • Unfortunately, i am pretty lonely in Australia. No relatives, most of my uni friends are back to their home country. I don't really have any close friends here

  • buy an oppo in Oz from Big W? Target?
