how does this stack up against their dog grooming kit, surely i can use my existing Wahl dog clippers to maximise OzB ROI?

Does this work well on my poodle?

    • I use a low end Wahl on my schnauzer/poodle crossbred.
      It works fine.

      • Thanks.

        • Tbh I don’t expect it will last as long as it would if it was just used on human hair, but it will save a lot of money compared with paying someone to do it.

I ran into nothing but problems with trying to purchase off the Shaver Shop website last week.

    • Wasn't able to create an account for like 5 hours
    • Guest checkout didn't work
    • Finally created an account, only to find out no payment method would work (AMEX, Visa, PayPal, Apple Pay) I tried all of them

Finally gave up and just bought the same product off eBay for a little more.

Still waiting on their customer service to call from Monday last week 😒

I have had a terrible experience with ShaverShop and ordering online. It's best just to buy in store if available

        Shavershop customer service is woeful

    • I bought a cutting kit and the site was up and running. However from the 13th of April, my order still shows "Not shipped". There's no one answering the phone and the call-back option results in no call back. Similarly, no answer on the email I sent about the order.
It seems to me they have too many orders to bother shipping them so next time I'm buying from amazon.

For home use I would recommend cordless one for ease of use, and get one with lithium battery.

    Well, I'm bewildered.
Who is out there trimming their hair with hands covered in oil and grease?
I've got pretty thick hair and average or below finger strength, yet I've never had any problems losing grip on my standard Wahl clippers. Do I really need the EXTREME grip model?

But seriously, why are there 2 different clipper + trimmer included in this kit?
I've always just removed the attachments from my clippers and flipped them over to trim. What's the use of having 2?

Smaller one is double zero, used for lining up where to other one is too big.

coz men want grip ? some kind of marketing BS.
why not two ? one in each hand (hence the need for XTRA GRIP) twice the job in half the time…. EXTREME!!! :P

    • It's for when you are trimming….down below. Because…y'know…extreme grip…

Had a voucher for $10 with SS which brought the item under $30 so they then charged the $10 shipping fee. Might as well add another $10 of items in!

"Who is out there trimming their hair with hands covered in oil and grease?" Nice one Damion. It made my day. :D

  • How does it compare to Salon Series V7000 Hair Clipper?

  • I've had my WAHL MC3 Clipper for 5-7 years now, I use it regularly for basic hair trimming and no issues. Reliable brand, but make sure it's made in USA and comes with AU plug.

Yes, I have the US made one and it cuts hair like a hot knife through butter. Got one of the China ones from one of the OzB posts for like $10-20 and it was shit. It came with heaps of attachments but wouldn’t fit in my US one

Ordered this from them for $89.95 the other day. If you create an account you get a $10 credit.

    • I tried .. I didnt get a credit

Try using a private browsing window/tab. I got the prompt just then by going to the site's front page and scrolling to the bottom.

        Sign-up to Receive $10 off
*on your first online order with $30 minimum spend.

        • This worked. I got 10$ additional off. Thanks mate

This extreme clipper is for when you need to cut your hair while rappelling down a cliff and or doing other extreme activities. Just remember to take a long extension cord with you - this baby ain't cordless!
