Any Good Travel Sites to Keep an Eye on for Future Trip Deals

I am happy to pre-book some trips if the deals are good. And i think it may be a case of some of these travel companies wanting to get customers back asap.
Does anyone know of any good sites to keep an eye on ( other than ozbargin ), to see if any good deals do come up. I could not find any when googling.
Deals such as, book this trip now for 2021 and get X% OFF. And are so discounted that they are great deals.
Yes, there will be a bit of risk, if this COVID19 carries on for longer. I know virgin is doing something for flights, but i am keen on whole package deals.

I would love a really good deal for the family (2 adults, 2 kids) to go to japan snow for 2 weeks.

I'd avoid Virgin for now: "The grounded airline is in a trading halt after hiring insolvency and turnaround experts amid the coronavirus crisis"

Personally, I don't expect there will be much international travel until 2021. Both the country of departure and the country of arrival will need to have overcome the virus and have lifted their respective travel bans / warnings, as well as any transit stop countries that you might need.

I doubt that any reputable travel agencies would be offering much until the picture becomes much clearer.

    • Why don't they list the wet market as an attraction? Or the infectious disease lab? Weird.

    • That's a bit cruel but tongue in cheek stuff.

    • might be a good location to travel when this blows over.
I'm going to assume accommodation would be cheap due to vacancies and there will also be measures in place to make sure people are safe.

    • Instead they should turn it to a place of remembrance to respect and honor everyone who have died(125,910 and counting) and suffered thanks to their mismanagement and numerous cover-ups and refusal to take responsibility for starting this global pandemic. But in reality the most likely outcome in Communist China would be to demolish everything in a 1km radius overnight and build skyscrapers on top and destroy any evidence for the existence of this market and scrub off all references on the internet which points to covid-19 originating there.

  • Look at Luxury Escapes, for some reason they give me inspiration and ideas on where to go, not that I need any as travelling anywhere and everywhere has been a huge part of my life in the last 15 years.

Many sites are now providing very flexible booking conditions in light of the dynamic situation. I know for example most of the large chain hotels (eg Hilton) are offering last minute cancellation without penalties (even if you book non-flexible rates / prepaid).

From previous experience I would not be booking with Luxury Escapes. I find they cannot be trusted but that's another story.

      • Really? Can you expand on why, I have been tempted with a few of their trips?

      • There will be good and bad experiences.

My one and only experience was positive - able to change hotel dates from April 2020 to March 2020 in light of Covid.

That said, a friend of mine had a trip of a lifetime on an African safari - and it was a poorly managed trip and she would not recommend them.

Princess Cruises will have some good deals in the future.

    • looks very dodgy

  • If booking through an agency there's the possibility of them going into receivership before your trip. For me that negates any potential bargains at the moment.
