    • I have reasonable luck anywhere from 10-15, depending on the bean and freshness. Sometimes need to go finer if it's a little stale.

  • Bought again. Great coffee, very good value. Thanks Manna!

  • I've been buying beans via ozb deals for as long as i remember - two cracks, centralcoast, P&R, others
I always come back to mannabeans.

Sometimes you see cheaper deals, but I find manna are just consistently better.
In 20+ orders (2-4 bean types each time) from them, I've maybe had 2 bean varieties which i did not like.. and this was personal preference. Can't say the same for the other mobs.

Someone compared Aldi/costco etc to this…no, just no. Aldi is ok with generic flatwhites where its super milky.
I make my flat whites strong so the espresso is pronounced (double shot, small~regular size).

Anyway, just ordered since I've quadrupled my consumption working from home for the past month+

@mannabeans - which one of these do you recommend for pourover/brewed?

  • Any chance of a deal on the Magical Unicorn beans? Keen to give it a try!

  • +1

My beans arrived yesterday after a slight delay from Australia Post (no fault of Manna, they were roasted and posted very quickly). So far the Magical unicorn beans have exceeded any expectations we had and come out in front of all the freshly roasted beans we have purchased over the past couple of years. Thank you for offering such a great product, you have earned a regular customer.

    • What date did you order this? And did you receive anything (text or email) when they shipped the beans?

      • I ordered Thursday 16/4 and didn’t receive a confirmation. Australia post sent an email on Tuesday 21/4 saying it was coming that day and it arrived on 23/4 due to their current delays.

  • I got mine on Friday, they seem ok but there is no roast date on the bags. It's this normal for Manna beans?

    • +1

Yes - I've ordered more than 10 times already and have never seen a roast date on the package.

They're roast to order so I'd say at most you're getting 2-3 days old stuff so very fresh. There can also be stuff that's too fresh. I recall an Ethiopian coffee recently (Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Summer) my wife said was too intense and that it had a weird strong aftertaste. She really didn't like it. We left it a week and the weirdness with it was gone. It was still a little different to other coffees but not in a bad way.

      • Whenever I have purchased the beans roasted that day, the staff always say not to use the fresh roasted beans for a minimum 3 days… So yes, you can use them too soon ;)

  • Just ordered some, lookin forward to trying your beans
