Hand Sanitiser 75% Alcohol 5L - $149 Incl Shipping @ Zennik

714

Hey guys,

I do realise this is not as good as the Amino Z deal @ $20L, hard to beat and the best deal i've seen so far without a doubt, shout out to them for their amazing value !

This is priced @ $30L, still cheaper than most out there but not the cheapest either, i was planning to break it into 1L lots but have not been able to find bottles to do so. The price i can offer is a simple enonomy of scale situation, Amino Z produced 2000L of product, i'm able to produce 50L, ingredients are near impossble to come by now so this will be a one time deal. Shipping will cost me about $25/unit and is included in the price.

I completly understand if you don't think this is an amazing deal and respect your opinion.

This product is scented with Lemongrass Essential Oil.

Limited quantity of 10 units avilable.

Please Note: This formulation is a liquid hand rub (not a gel).

Price includes free standard postage within Australia.
Checkout will indicate local pickup however order will be posted.

My gosh , so much alcohol around but yet you can’t drink them …

Is ozbargain the dumping ground of hand sanitiser now

    • Ideal platform for taking advantage of this unfortunate situation, and price gouging

Amino Z mentioned they did their labels with Photoshop. Yours look like they've been done in MS Paint.

looks like it is done with ms word lol

All this stuff will be going dirt cheap soon, given how many companies are now producing it.

"still cheaper than most out there but not the cheapest either"

Any yet you posted it anyways?

It is subjective. The 6 x Dettol 200ml packs for $49 work out to $40.80L

Although admittidly in far more convenient packaging.

      • Mate, you are comparing yourself to Dettol?

An Established company selling what's maybe considered hot commodity at a time of very High demand.

With ingredients that I can at least believe is what they indicate they use.

Along with their overheads cost and in a like you said, far more convenient packaging all for $10/L more.

Compared to yours that's made by yourself and maybe conjured up in your backyard?

        • +2

No definetly not, Dettol is a trusted brand and a more convenient pack size. I don't disagree with you.

If i could buy ethanol for $20 for a 5L bottle like others are saying i would… point me in the right direction ?

          • @stringbean402: Wish I could, I've never bothered to source as I'm happy with just soap & water.

Nyways, all the best with this endeavour.
            Albeit a little pricy.

          • @stringbean402:

If i could buy ethanol for $20 for a 5L bottle like others are saying i would… point me in the right direction?

So you can increase your profit margins? No thank you.

Are you sure you can afford free delivery seeing as though your margins are so slim?

5l Ethanol worth $30 at fireplace supplies shop. SCAM!!!

  • +2

This could be the worst deal of the year!

I've still got almost all the 5 litres delived for $15 from an Oz Bargain deal a year or two ago. There were even cheaper deals around at the time.

    • +1

Would be great if you could post a link where you buy so cheap?

  • +1

Before the COVID I bought 5L of 100% alcohol for 20 bucks.

    • How much they sell them now? Are you able to post a link here so I can buy some after the Coronavirus outbreak?

Right now, I'm not willing to pay 2x to 10x more…

    • +1

Back when I was a kid we could buy a horse for 2 shekels.

"I do realise this is not as good as the Amino Z deal @ $20L" … then you already realise it should not be posted on OzBargain.

  • Even through commercial suppliers the prices have not changed, we are still able as a business to purchase sanitiser @ $7.70 / L incl GST @ 70% alcohol content - 20L drums… even when brands such as Deb Stoko again allow their product to return to normal supplier distribution paths have not changed their pricing…

It amazes me and everyone of these crazy prices….

    • I've breen trying to buy Deb Instant Foam Sanitiser 1L packs for work through our normal supplier for about a 1.5 months now with no luck. They are around $30+GST but do last ages because they are a foaming mix.

      • near a 1000 pumps to those foam units, we too are on back order for the foam eta august at this stage

    • That's because some desperate people are willing to pay 10x or 100x more…

      • That's how i actually ended up mixing my own sanitiser, our workplace was desperate and had an immediate need. 2 months ago you could get 20Lt drums of Isopropanol for $144+GST from my local, definetly not the case naymore.

        • Why can't you sell them for $19L ? The raw material are cheap.

          • @KOBH: Because raw materials are no longer cheap. If i could get my hands on it now for that price it would be a different ballgame.

        • The workplace liability is terrible if anything goes wrong making your own sanitiser.

Sick of opportunists looking to make a quick buck

Price gouging is not a bargain

  • I dont really understand the point of this - for your own business margins or the end consumer on here. This is a no win situation, im not sure why you bothered? Id be reconsidering your business strategy

    • TBH i sold some locally and had some left over. I'm not in it to get rich.

      • But thats what i mean - i dont see who the winner is out of this, other than the vendors you purchased your original ingredients off.

        • +1

No harm in trying to recover the cost of materials. I don't begrudge anyone for thinking it's expensive.

          • +1

@stringbean402: Well thats fair enough and i would be doing the exact same in your shoes - however this isnt a deal or bargain and not the right place to post it. This looks like something for Gumtree or classified.

            • @TightTerry: In hindsight i think that's probably a fair-call. I nuked the link now anyway.

              • @stringbean402: Try Facebook marketplace too if you can. Plenty of creeps and annoying enquiries with zero follow up but you do get a few genuine people who will buy.

                All the best OP.

              • @stringbean402: I'm sure you can move it - small businesses, schools etc may be willing to snap something like this up and take it off your hands.

  • not a bargain

  • Wow that was a lot of hate … yikes seems a bit harsh!!

    • lol… haters gunna hate

      • looool

      • I don't think it's that bad, although isn't it supposed to be 80% ethanol? Anyways, I was one of the lucky ones who managed to get 5L from Many spirits (hasn't arrived yet) for $75, but they charged me $30 shipping. So it worked out to be $105, so this is only $45 more and the Manly deal got 200 upvotes. It's also only $50 more than the Amino Z deal. Not a terrible deal for those in dire need, but I think if it was $125ish shipped you would of received praise, not hate.

I do appreciate & understand the qualities and the fact it is going to cost far less to produce 2,000L than 500L per litre. I think it's good you posted the deal, prices are around $190 on ebay for 5L. Daresay, stock will start catching up with demand soon though..

Mr Black Hand Sanitiser is $40/L and receiving upvotes.. this is cheaper.

        • The base alcohol is Bioethanol Ethanol Alcohol 96% & 4% Isopropyl Alcohol.

The reason is the Ethanol I purchased is denatured with Isopropanol, resulting in 99.9% pure alcohol. Equivilant to pure Isopropanol in % alcohol content.

Most Ethanol is denatured with Methanol which results in a 96% pure alcohol product, hence the 5% difference to the WHO forumla.
