My coffee ground of choice for my Delonghi Dedica Espresso machine. Some coffee fanatics may turn their nose up, but this is much better than instant at a good price. RRP is usually $30 at Coles/Woolworths, and periodically goes on half price sale. But this will hopefully save you a trip to the supermarket.

Fine selection of 100 percent Arabica beans
A coffee for the true connoisseur
Expertly crafted to deliver a rich flavoured blend
Highly aromatic floral and honey notes
Great option for those who would like to make cafe style coffee at home

Edit: Grounds 1kg and Beans 1kg also currently available for the same price at Woolworths

Edit 2: Beans 1kg now available from Amazon for the same price

    Best supermarket coffee imho

    • None too. Uptick.

Have you tried the Aldi beans? Lazzio / single origin ones.

They seem to get a pretty decent wrap (for a supermarket bean), so long as you can find freshly roasted stock.

(I haven’t tried either, the Aldi beans or Lavazza…just read some people say the Aldi beans were half-decent when fresh)

      • +2

I've tried them and I don't think they compare to these, these are much more tasty and aromatic.

        • Cheers for the feedback.

To the idiot who negged me - wtf? I asked a question…

      • How to tell how fresh the Aldi beans are? I bought a bag today with a best before date of Jul 2021. Is that considered fresh?

        • Underneath the best before date is the roast date in backwards notation (eg. today would be 20200518).

  • Found the beans on special too. Saw they were on special at Woolies but live too far away for delivery and didn't think police would accept my reason for essential travel.

  • I like the Vittoria Oro Better
But that has not been down to$15 for while so this will do this week

    • I agree Vittoria Oro are better than these and are my go to when they are half price otherwise these are my next best choice as they come in as a strong second for supermarket beans.

  • Does anyone know whether this is good for a plunger?

    • +3

      Packaging says suitable for plunger.

I'm using this with a plunger. Still a little residue at the bottom of cup - but i'm ok with it.

      • Thanks for your feedback guys :)

  • Any coffee snobs tried these supermarket beans? I only buy fresh roasted from those more boutique / hipster chains, but genuinely curious how much worse off these supermarket beans are.
