Apple Home Pod Speakerphone for Microsoft Teams

Hi all,

Just like a lot of people, I am working from home full time and found the headset on my head a bit painful to wear all day.

So I am in the market looking for speakerphone.

Has anyone tried using HomePod and Microsoft Teams on iOS devices?

Thanks guys! :)

Seems you cannot, there's a few posts about it like this: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/908686-bug-repor…

It's absolutely stupid that the HomePod doesn't have standard Bluetooth audio connections.

I use AirPods for hours every day and those work perfectly fine with MS Teams/Skype both on iOS and Dell laptop. Is that an option to consider?

    • Yeah I am using AirPods as well for the time being but my ears must be pretty small because after about an hour i would start feeling the pain.

Tried the Jabra headphone from work and it’s a bit tight around the head. :(

Speakerphone is the way to go but it’s also quite expensive.

    Hey goraygo,

I just tested this and you cannot. I had my iPhone connected to my HomePod and as soon as I started a call it was on speaker mode..

Disappointing as it is a very good call device.

    • Thanks for testing this!!! I really appreciate your efforts!

And yes, I am very disappointed because the HomePod price dropped to $299 and it sounds good. A Jabra Speak 510 is around the same price but no where as good in sound quality. :(

But I would rather spend on a speakerphone now since I have a need.

      Thanks again!!! :)
