Mosquito Control for Garage

Looking for something to help control mosquitos in my garage since i've been working out there. Budget is around $200'ish. I'm deciding whether to get 1 item to place in my backyard and then 1 smaller thing in my garage or just 1 effective item in the backyard.
Scared that putting a lure in my garage will just attract them there so thinking a lure outside then a zapper in the garage?

Anyone tried any of these products and can rate them?

  • What are you lifting these days?

    • I thought op meant he was simply working out there, like at a desk or workshop?

There are 56 reviews on the Pestrol site. My favourite was "Haven’t installed it yet! Been too busy!".

    • Yeah kind of sceptical of all the reviews on there so wanted to try get another opinion here.

I prefer the good ol' mosquito coils. I even like the smell of it.

  • Check out the Thermacell range (they have it at bunnings) from quite a lot of research I did a while back, this method seemed the most effective. You can get different brand mats, and units (as well as hacks to refill the gas bottles on youtube) which can work out a bit cheaper as well, again plenty on youtube about it.

  • tried one of these https://www.bunnings.com.au/gecko-triple-lure-insect-trapper… all it does is catch moths. returned it.

Do you have your garage open when you are working out there? If not maybe you can use that money towards better sealing it off so insects and mosquitos can't get in if possible?

  • Mosquito coils are cheap. Unless you live next to some sort of swamp mozzies shouldn’t be a problem for much longer this year. The cooler weather stops them pretty well.
