Recommendation for a Security Sensor Light

Hi Everyone,

Looking for a new security sensor light as moister has gotten into the sensor circuit board of my current one. What I'm looking for is twin spotlights (most likely LED) with the sensor in the middle. I want something that will last for a reasonable amount of time.

I know I could pop into my local Bunnings and get your run of the mill sensor light. However, I'm just wondering is it worth spending the extra money and going to an electrical supplier (like Middys) or are they pretty much all the same. I don't want to replace the light again in twelve months times because I decided to be stingy.

Regards,
Nick

Check if your local Aldi still has the Brilliant smart security light. The design is exactly what you're looking for with added smart features (control on phone and can adjust temperature, brightness, etc). They've been on clearance for $30 for ages at all the Aldis I've visited (inside the glass cabinet near the front). Good build quality made of metal.

    • Awesome. I managed to find some of those Brilliant smart sensor lights in my local Aldi store for $25! Picked up two of them.

A huge bargain IMO considering a seller on eBay has the exact sensor going for $109 with $33 shipping.Just gotta get my mate who a qualified sparky, to fit them in on Monday.

      Thank you so much.

  • I just bought a cheap solar one from Ebay paid $20

  • I've gone through a couple of those two lights sensor in the middle, they both died. Eventually I went for a Clipsal Infrascan and just hook it up to lights. That setup has been working for over 10 years
