  • Is the Lasagna meant to be in the fridge? would it go off

    • +1

Pretty sure its Large Lasagna Sheets. I.e. dried

    • +2

      No it's dried pasta.

    • +6

No you need a rehydrater, like in back to the future. It's not out yet, unless you own a Delorean that can do 88 mph and has a flux capacitor.

…if by fridge you mean your pantry cupboard then yes…it goes in your fridge.

    • Thanks mate, got egg pasta :)

    "Large Instant Lasagna Serves 6"
    - Delivery May 1
    - 375g
    - $3.70
    - Actually just lasagne sheets

I think my disappointment got more and more with each additional detail I found out

You also wanted pillows, penny p?

      • +2

Well I mean I wasn't expecting ravioli lol.
I was expecting at least something other than lasagne sheets in an instant lasagne.
That's like having one of those taco packs and only having tacos in there.

        • +1

…youre new to this 'cooking food' thing, eh?

          • +2

@franco cozzo: I mean not really, just lazy lol.
Coles call their lasagne sheets "lasagne sheets" not instant lasagne.

            • @pennypincher98: Can confirm - Cole's product naming is hyperbole free, and their pricing lower.

Trivia question: San Remo describes them as 'Lasagna Sheets' while Coles uses 'Lasagne Sheets'. Given that 'lasagna' is singular and 'lasagne' plural, which is correct?

              • +2

@dm01: "Lasagna Sheets"! Because San Remo said so and he sounds Italian. :)

            • @pennypincher98: …thats fresh pasta not dry. instant refers to the fact you dont pre-cook them
some lasagne sheets require pre-cooking ….or at least they used to if my memory serves me correct?
yeh…checked with mum. 😁 old school lasagna sheets required pre-cooking before use….which was a bit of a hassle hence the popularity of 'instant' lasagna sheets

    • Just by reading the weight its impossible a 375g Lasagna can serve a family of 6 unless they are ants !

      • you generally need more than 1 and a half packs for a full sized oven tray of lasagna

  • …you can tell the users here that dont cook survive on dominos & kfc

  • -3

Same price for the sheets at coles

Good deal for those who are too lazy to go to the shops but then again if your that lazy you probably wouldn't be cooking anyway

  • +2

Remember when everyone was hoarding dried pasta like the end of the world and lasagne sheets were the only thing left on the shelf…
