M1 Brisbane to GC Travel

Hi everyone
I was just wondering if the police are continuing to pull day trippers over on the M1 from Brisbane to the GC? especially on the weekend?
.
Thanks in advance.

Yes they are. And at the beach.

Australians must avoid all non-essential domestic travel.

Unless you can afford the fine or are special and the laws don't apply to you.

  • They will be more focused on it on the weekend for sure, during the week not so much cos a lot of work commuters.

    Stay home

Go to the god coast for exercise and youll be fine

    • Need to stay in your same postcode.

You're only allowed outside if you're doing a Maccas run

  • Catch the train.

    • +3

Won't be easy. They're pretty large and fast.

      • Nah trains are easy to catch. Just stick your leg out Monty Python style.

Allowed only if you do your winter skiing in Aspen or you are the owner of a media empire.

    • Or play golf at mar a Lago.

  • View your local media. It will be big news when they open up the border. Until then, stay home.

    • Is that the new border between Bris & GC they've been building while no one's allowed out?

why are you worried if it's essential travel?
    oh, wait, it's not?

  • I like catching the train idea.

What are some other things you like?

    • What’s the difference between essential travel on a train or on a car?

      • one is sitting on a train and the other is sitting in a car.

  • +1

Depends on how many people are in your car. If you’re alone, you can say that you’re visiting another person’s house, which is allowed in QLD.

  • Almost 0 change of getting pulled over, there are so many cars on the M1.
Lots of police presence, but if you're not doing anything illegal you won't get pulled over.
