Sorry - $53 for a t-shirt 'Made in India' is not a bargain

Yup. Also a lot worse than OP’s previous post. No deal here!

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. Yes, you are right on the campaign I have submitted in the past (about 2 years ago), which was at a lower price point. Those prices were presented as an introductory offer in an effort to raise awareness and activate my brand. There have been some price increase in sourcing new stock of these organic cotton t shirts and inevitably have increased the overall price. This current offer is 10% discount but it also includes free shipping Australia wide.

Hi there, thank you for the feedback and I understand your point. Price is a challenge, as these t shirts ticks the boxes with certifications from GOTS, Fairwear Foundation and Carbon Footprint Standard, which do add up to the cost. The upside to it is that you can feel comfortable wearing something that has been produced without disadvantaging the workers and the environment.
On the other hand, you might be interested in my cut & sew range which are made in Melbourne - https://www.kodamaapparel.com.au/product-category/outerwear/
      Thank you,

  • LOL for a $53 t-shirt I expect it to be 100% organic Australian cotton hand sewed and printed in Australia, not some junk from India. It's still overpriced at 50% off.

100% certified organic Australian cotton made and printed in Australia is something I would love to be able to offer in the future. However having garments made onshore does increase the cost of the item and still working out a way to make that possible at a reasonable price.
May I ask if you have come across an Australian made t shirt (100% Australian cotton) that is around the $50 mark? I would appreciate if you can share your insight.

  • Not a bad price for sustainable and ethical fashion but not enough of a bargain and probably the wrong site to post this on :)

    • Hi there, thank you for your feedback. May I ask if you have come across another site that's potentially more fashion/streetwear orientated?
